Amy and Kurts Wanderings

Breakfast this morning was the DonutConnection. It is a VERY good thing we don't have one of these in Pipestone! I had a Chocolate Croissant and a Chocolate Old Fashioned Donut.  After our nutritious breakfast we headed for the candy store. Can't believe how busy this place was already at 10:00 on a Sunday morning. Wandered around the aisles and check out the amazing assortment of stuff. We wondered if some of the odd things every really sold or if there were just for the novelty. We also wondered who goes to Minnesota's Largest Candy Store and gets plain M&Ms. Of course I went to the candy store and didn't get candy. Got a treat for Mom and Dad, a sticker for my Stanley, Gouda cheese flavored pretzels, chocolate peanut butter popcorn, and dark chocolate covered pretzel crisps.  Next I tried to take Kurt to a comic store but they didn't open until noon so we were too early. Instead we went to Jimmy John's for lunch and back to the hotel to meet with Chase. I...

 We didn't rush and left the house about 10:00 this morning. Dropped off Buddy which actually went much better than usual. No shaking and whining and straight back he went. It helped that Kurt brought him in just as they were ready to bring him back. May have to make sure we do it that way in the future. First stop of the day was Alexander Ramsey Park. We have been here before with Buddy but was a nice spot to stop and get out of the car for a while. About an hour and a half from home. We went and checked out the waterfall first - always beautiful but water was definitely down from the last time we were here. After the waterfall we just wandered some trails. Was very hilly - and steep hills so got a workout in. Stopped at the park for a ride on the big person swing, or maybe it was special needs, not sure but I enjoyed it!  Went to Barney's Burgers & Brews for lunch in Redwood. I have the harvest burger - bacon, provolone cheese, and granny smith apple. Was quite interesti...

Welcome to my new travel journal! A few years back I started keeping a journal when I travel. I have taken inspiration from my sister and am going digital. I am getting lazy and don't want to have to write in my journal at night, I would much rather type it up. Plus, this way I don't have to find a place to store the paper ones.
