Sister bonding

Although I just spent a couple days in Oregon with my sister I guess I was not yet sick of her! Dee came to spend the week with Mom and Dad and I thought we could a girls night out.

I picked her up and we headed to Downtown Sioux Falls. We went to Blarney Stone for supper. I had my favorite beer, the Paulaner, and Dee had a Voot Beer. I'm not usually a fan of mixed drinks, but I must admit, it was quite delicious! It was a mix of root beer (1919 of course), vanilla vodka, and whipped cream. It tasted like a root beer float and could be dangerously good because I think I could have a few of those!

After dinner, we went to "The Wonder Bread Years" at the Orpheum Theater. It was a hilarious stand-up act that reminisced on the wonders of childhood. It brought out so many great memories and lots of laughs. Highly recommended!

They redid the Orpheum a couple years. Great little theater!

After the show we had a Spotted Cow while chatting with Mom and Dad.
The following morning, we were invited to join Mom and her sister/cousins for breakfast, but we chose to sleep in instead. I enjoyed some delicious banana bread for breakfast and played a few games of Racko with Dee. We then decided it was time to get ready and make the most of my day off.
Mom was still at breakfast so went to the Bagel Boy to catch us with Aunt Sue, Aunt Jen, Kathy, Laurie, and Karen. I can see why they have a 3 hour breakfast. What a great group! Lots of laughs!!!
Left Bagel Boy and Dee was ready for some lunch so we headed for Watecha Bowl, a tiny little place that serves Indian Tacos. We drove right by and didn't even realize it. It is definitely a dive but the food was excellent. We each had an Indian Taco and shared some Frybread Fingers which are fry bread dusted with cinnamon and sugar and served with a Wojapi Berry sauce. I will be enjoying this little gem again!

Post-lunch, we headed downtown for some retail therapy. We meandered around 8th & Railroad, followed by a few stores on Phillips. I found a few must-have items, and Dee even scored a few Christmas gifts.
We had planned to go to a coffee shop and play some Bananagrams but just ran out of time. We will have to save that one for next time, So instead we stopped at Casey's for Dee's caffeine fix and headed back home.
A great 24 hours in Sioux Falls!
