Summerville

We had breakfast at the hotel today. Not real impressive but it did the trick. Just relaxed around the hotel today, read our books, and watched some TV.

Attempted to go to Vicious Biscuit for lunch as I really want to try it but the line was out the door. We decided we didn't need to go that bad. Went to Soundwave Comics, wasn't the greatest comic book store I have been to and not the greatest neighborhood but Kurt still managed to find a couple books he couldn't seem to live without...  ;-)

Left the comic book store and headed for Chase's apartment. Gorgeous place!!! It is pretty empty - they each have a bed, desk, and chair in their room and that's about it. One roommate stocked the kitchen so all set there but otherwise it's pretty bare. Need some furniture but hope they find some deals as they will need to turn around and get rid of it in 6 months. Oh well, they seem happy with it so that's all that matters!

They have foosball, a pool table, ping pong table, and a golf simulator. They also have free sodas, a fancy coffee machine with all different options (I had a hot chocolate and it was good), and snacks.

Pool with a BBQ area

Chase's room (you will notice making his bed did not become a habit...)

Living room (the air mattress is temporary - it was in a roommate's room but his mattress was just delivered so they threw it in the living room for now.)

Chase won this spatula at a family get together. He said he would borrow it to me until he had his own kitchen so I brought it to him. It is his contribution to the kitchen. I love that spatula and will miss it!

At this point Kurt and I are getting pretty hungry so gave Vicious Biscuit another try. We got there at 2:33 to realize that they close at 2:30. Right next door was Bad Daddy's Burger Bar with people waiting outside. I had read they had pretty good burgers so figured we would see how long a wait. Ended up it was only 5-10 minutes so we stayed. Very busy, very loud place but great burgers!

After lunch Chase needed a new phone we headed to Best Buy. We always buy our phones from Best Buy and they are super helpful. Not so much in Summerville. They gladly sold us a new phone but weren't the most helpful and didn't offer to transfer Chase's info like Sioux Falls does. But Chase figured if he can learn to run a nuclear reactor he can figure out how to transfer date on his phone.

We did a little shopping - went to World Market and Kohls. Chase wants a fancy wall clock but didn't find anything. He did get some snacks at World Market though.

Went back to our hotel to hang out and play some cards. Chase worked on transferring his phone data while we played some Gin Rummy. We learned that although he may be able to run a nuclear reactor transferring data is not that easy! After a lot of frustration we realized they issue was that the phones were not connecting to the crappy hotel WIFI. Finished our card game and headed back to Chase's apartment to see if we could get it to work there. Finally - success! I was getting a little nervous we were going to have to go back to Best Buy.

While we were there one of Chase's roommates came back along with his mom, dad, and brother. It was really nice to meet all of them! Chase's other roommate is on a cruise with his family so didn't get to meet him.

Left Chase and headed back to the hotel with plans to see him again tomorrow. Good day just hanging out with two of my favorite people!!!
